Vacant areas in the available land have been released for residential development under the urban densification programme. In this case, an extension is being built onto a listed building. Taking into account the specified distance areas, a stately oak with a trunk girth of 350 cm stood in the new construction area.
The Opitz team devised the optimum method for transplanting this giant tree, prepared the tree for transplantation and moved it safely and carefully to its new location – only 13 metres away from its original site.
